This dialog appears when you right-click a JDBC connection node and then click Add Synonyms from the shortcut menu, or right-click the Synonyms node in the JDBC connection and click Add Synonym from the shortcut menu in the Catalog Browser. It helps you to add synonyms into a JReport catalog via the connection you set up. See the dialog.
The following are details about options in the dialog:
Database Catalogs
Lists all the catalogs in the database.
Schemas
Lists the schemas you have selected in the Schema tab of the Get JDBC Connection Information dialog.
Show All Schemas
If checked, all schemas in the selected catalog will be shown in the Schemas box.
Synonyms
Lists the synonyms contained in the selected schema after you click the Load Synonyms button. The synonyms include tables and views whose Type property is Synonym or Alias.
Connection
Shows the name of the current connection.
Synonym Name Pattern
Specifies whether to filter the tables according to the specified filtering condition.
Include System Synonyms
If checked, the system synonyms will become available in the Synonyms box.
Include Added Synonyms
If checked, the synonyms that have been added to the catalog will become available in the Synonyms box. You can then add them into the catalog again with a different name.
Load Synonyms
Loads the synonyms contained in the specified schema into the Synonyms box.
Add
Adds the selected synonyms to the catalog.
Done
Applies all changes and closes the dialog.
