This dialog appears when you select Special Group from the Sort column in the Group screen of the report wizard or Map Binding Data Wizard, or from the Order drop-down list in the Sort Order dialog. It helps you to define how to group your information. See the dialog.
The following are details about options in the dialog:
Group Name
Creates a new name for the grouping criteria. If you use this dialog to group data in the dataset that is bound with a map, the group name here should match with data in the specified group by field.
Operator
Specifies the Operator function with which to group the data.
There are many other options in the Specified Option section with which you can define how your data will be grouped. You can define as: between, not between. > (greater than), < (less than), = (equal to), <= (less than or equal to), >= (greater than or equal to), or != (not equal to).
Operand
Either op1 or both op1 and op2 will be seen in the Operand menu. Type the criteria with quotation marks here.
Keep values outside of the range in a special group
If checked, JReport will keep the values that have not been included in the specified criteria in a special group. The name of the group will be shown in the Special Group Name menu.
Add
Adds a new grouping feature. This will display the Group Name field. Clicking this button also enables adding further grouping features when you have finished editing the current one.
Remove
Removes the grouping feature you specified.

Applies all changes and goes back to the Group/Sort dialog.
Cancel
Does not retain any changes and goes back to the Group/Sort dialog.
