
Adding a business/report cube
To add a business/report cube to a catalog, follow the steps below:
- In JReport Designer, click File > Catalog Management > Open Catalog to open the catalog to which you want to add the business/report cube.
- In the Data tab of the Catalog Browser, right-click the Business Cubes node, and select Add Business Cube from the shortcut menu. Or, on the main menu bar, click File > New > Business Cube.
To add a report cube, expand the Imported SQLs/Stored Procedures/User Defined/Queries node in the Data tab of the Catalog Browser, select the source on which the report cube will be based, right-click the Report Cube node and then click Add Report Cube.
- In the Input Business/Report Cube Name dialog, enter a name for the business/report cube, and then click OK.
- In the Business/Report Cube Editor window, edit the business/report cube as required.
- Click the Save button
on the toolbar of the window to save it.
- Click File > Close to close the window. The business/report cube will now have been added to the catalog.
In addition, you can rename an existing business/report cube or remove it from the catalog if not required.
- To rename a business/report cube, right-click the business/report cube and on the shortcut menu, select Rename. Type a new name in the name box, and then press Enter. Click OK in the warning message box to confirm the renaming.
- To remove a business/report cube from a catalog, right-click the business/report cube, and select Delete from the shortcut menu. In the warning message box, click OK to confirm the removal.
