Formatting the surface

To format the surface of a surface chart, follow the steps below:

1. Right-click any node in the surface, and then select Format Surface to display the Format Surface dialog.
2. In the Fill and Border tabs set the fill and border modes for the surface (for details, refer to Formatting the platform). Click the Pattern List button in the Fill tab to specify the patterns that will apply to the surface as required.
3. In the Data Label tab, set the font formats and effects of the data labels. The data labels display when the end user moves the mouse pointer over the surface.
4. When done, click OK to apply the settings.
